Korotkov,\u00a0<\/strong><strong>born 1952 in Saint Petersburg, Russia studied<\/strong>\u00a0in one of the best mathematical colleges in Russia. After receiving his degree as doctor of sciences from the Polytechnic University, he stayed on in the research department. Since 1975 he is engaged in scientific researches and today holds the following positions: He is the Deputy Director of the Saint-Petersburg Federal Research Institute of Physical Culture, Professor of Computer Science and Biophysics at the Saint-Petersburg Federal University of Informational Technologies, Mechanics and Optics, Professor of Research at the Saint Petersburg Academy of Physical Culture, President of the International Union for Medical and Applied Bioelectrography, a consultant for Aveda Co (USA) and a member of the Editorial Board: \u00abJournal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine\u00bb, \u201cJournal of Science of Healing Outcomes\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Stil23\">He has published over 200 papers in leading journals on physics and biology, and he holds 17 patents on biophysics inventions. Prof. Korotkov has led a research career for over 30 years, combining rigorous scientific method with an insatiable curiosity about things of the spirit and the soul with deep respect for all life. He is also a scholar in philosophy and a serious mountaineer of 35 years experience. He has given lectures, seminars and training sessions in 45 countries, presenting papers and workshops at more than 200 national and international conferences.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Stil23\">He is the author of 9 books, of which most are translated to English, French, German, Italian and Spanish, including \u201cLight after Life: Experiments and Ideas on After-Death Changes of Kirlian Pictures\u201d, USA 1998, \u201cAura and Consciousness \u2013 New Stage of Scientific Understanding\u201d, Russian Ministry of Culture, 1998. \u201cHuman Energy Fields: Study with GDV Bioelectrography\u201d, USA 2002 and \u201cSpiral Traverse\u201d, 2006. He also was the editor of the book: \u201cMeasuring Energy Fields: State of the Art. GDV Bioelectrography series, USA 2004\u201c.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Stil23\">At the V Congress of the International Union of Medical and Applied Bioelectrography (IUMAB) in Curitiba, Brazil, (Brazil, in USA) in 2001, Dr. Korotkov was elected as President of the IUMAB by the world\u2019s most prominent researchers. He was re-elected as a President in 2005 and 2010. He is a Member of the Federal University Scientific Board on new medical technologies, Member of the Scientific Board of the European Society of Predictive Medicine (France) and of the Editorial Board of the \u00abJournal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine\u00bb (USA).<\/p>\n<p class=\"Stil23\">His scientific line, known as the Electrophotonics, based on Gas Discharge Visualization technique (GDV), is a breakthrough beyond Kirlian photography for direct, real-time viewing of the human energy fields. This new technology allows capturing with a special camera the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual energy, emanating to and from humans, animals, plants, liquids, powders as well as inanimate objects and translate this into a computerized model.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Stil23\">Using the GDV Bioelectrography to study the special properties of water allowed creating new guidelines for water treatment. The study of water and aqueous solutions is one of the main directions of development of GDV Bioelectrography techniques.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Stil23\">The EPC\/GDV technique is accepted by the Russian Ministry of Health as a Medical technology and certified in Europe. More than 1000 doctors, practitioners and researchers benefit from using this technology worldwide.
