Dr. John Hagelin, Ph.D.
John Hagelin is a quantum physicist who is best known for his theory that consciousness is the same as the material field we see around us, or that consciousness directly impacts the universe we see around us through quantum mechanics. This theory is called the grand unified theory, and is based off of the superstring theory. Dr. Hagelin has focused much of his scientific knowledge on in order to discover a way to use meditation techniques to come to a unified consciousness. He is the director of the Transcendental Meditation Movement for the United States, and took part in a Maharishi experiment in 1993 that hoped to prove how meditation can affect society through large meditative groups. The results were cloudy, but there did seem to be some reduction in the amount of brutal murders that took place over the 6 weeks of the experiment in the Washington area.
Dr. Hagelin has also conducted research at CERN and SLAC that has resulted in evidence of the grand unification theory. This grand unified field study led to a cover story in Discover magazine where he was cited and featured. He also is counted as one of the leading physicists that proved Einstein’s theory of everything, which has turned the scientific community on its head and changed the way research is conducted. Dr. Hagelin has written over 70 different papers published in several highly esteemed scientific journals such as Physical Review and Nuclear Physics.
Dr. Hagelin’s education includes an A.B. from Dartmouth College and a Ph.D from Harvard University. His leading roles in education and science currently include being the Director of the Institute of Science, Technology and Public Policy, and the President of the Global Union of Scientists for Peace. He has led the march for peace by running for President of the United States in the Natural Law Party in 2000.
Dr. Hagelin is also the winner of the Kilby award which distinguishes scientists who have contributed much to society with their research in science and technology. Additionally, Dr. Hagelin is a well cited physicist in research and education. He was a regular guest on the television shows Politically Incorrect, Larry King Live, and Hardball with Chris Matthews. He is still actively educating the scientific community by bringing more research and information to the fore.
